SPAIN .- The Association of Galician Ribogojnice Trout, Atrugal, with the support of the General Secretariat of Fisheries (SGPM), is working on a project optimization of the production management, valid for the entire continental aquaculture.
They report that with a budget of € 90,000, it will create a comprehensive system of control of productive processes that will increase the competitiveness within the internationalization process being undertaken by the industry.
The outcome of this project will be the creation of a distance learning tool valid for all farmers. "This instrument stems from the demand by the industrial production environments include faster and more flexible new technological systems that appear," says the association Galician.
They explain that aquaculture focuses its activities in rural areas where the presence of new technologies is minimal. Through this project intended to cover part of the lack of these technological areas. Among the actions carried out under the project include the identification of processes and production activities trout, the development of diagnostic methods associated with the operational production and development of procedures for continuous improvement.
They add that these activities are aimed at improving productivity, ensuring the identification and authentication origin, as well as their incorporation into the system of quality management.
According Atrugal, so prior to the beginning of the creation of this management tool during 2007 analysis was performed on fish farms partners.
